My name is Nico Goldschmidt, I was born in 1970 and I am working as a horticultural engineer and as an IT lecturer. I am living near Luebeck in Germany close to the Baltic Sea.
Since I was young I am passionate about water, angling and boats. During my military service I was a seaman in the German Navy.
To fish the Great Ploen Lake, I needed a human powered boat since no motors are allowed on freshwater lakes in our area. I prefer pedal propulsion instead of rowing and such a boat was not available on the market.
So I decided to build it myself.
